When did you start Lively Society?

Lively Society was started in the year 2020. The brick and mortar location opened in 2021 in Lubbock, Texas.

Why did you start with vintage fashion?

I was thrifting in middle school before it became popular. It was an easy way to change up your style for cheap.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever thrifted? Did you end up selling it?

The coolest thing I have ever thrifted is probably my paint spill vintage lamp. I will never sell it.

You talked about expanding ‘Lively’ from just vintage… where do you see yourself taking the brand?

I see the brand growing into different business categories. I see Lively Society going beyond just clothes.

What’s the coolest collab you’ve ever done?

Probably working with the Texas Tech Consulting Group that you and Jordan ran.

Who’s the drippiest celebrity?

Thundercat, because he is in his own lane. He doesn’t copy the trends.

Favorite clothing brands?

Nike, Nike, Nike.

What are some creators you really respect?

Kanye West, Dave Chapelle , Snoop dogg. They are black and very influential in the business world.

If you had to give a piece of advice to someone who wanted to up their style, what would you say?

Get rid of your lazy wear such as your dry fit clothes, joggers and crocs. This will cause you to get more creative on an outfit.

If you got to design something, what would it be?

I want to design furniture. This is a different challenge I would like to face one day.

Why did you open your stores here, vs somewhere like Dallas?

I wanted to be a pioneer. I saw an opportunity that I wouldn’t get in bigger cities and I chased it.

What was your fashion style as a child/younger teenager? Have you always considered yourself a fashionable person?

I had such a rich taste. I couldn’t afford it though so I just mixed-and-matched thrifted garments.

How do you express yourself creatively?

I love creating content. I enjoy making engaging posts on social media platforms.

Do you have anyone you’d like to thank for their support?

I would like to thank everyone that steps foot in my store. They give me a chance, and that’s all I need to prove myself.

If you had to choose between never wearing sneakers again or only wearing sneakers for the rest of your life, what would you pick?

Never wearing sneakers. LOL, I love dressing up Doc Martins.
