Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference

On Monday, June 3, Apple held its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose, Calif., and as per usual, Forbes' Most Valuable Brand announced a slew of hardware developments and software updates.
While reveals like the new Apple Watch app store and the $5,000 Apple Pro Display XDR (and it's $1,000 Pro Stand) impressed, there were a few other tings that caught my attention.
iOS 13
The coolest new feature coming in iOS 13 is Dark Mode! I recently made the switch to the dark side in all of my apps that offer it, and I'm excited for Apple to embrace the feature across its entire OS.

Some other, smaller upgrades coming with the new OS are automatic sticker packs for Memoji personalization, as well as the ability to share music with anyone equipped with AirPods.
Apple also announced that menstrual cycle tracking will be coming with both iOS 13 and the new Watch OS 6. Growing up with sisters, I know that different cycle trackers have been on the market for a while, but I wouldn't be surprised if Apple's new tracker means the death of those.
iPadOS
Apple has finally made the big push to make the iPad work more like a desktop/laptop than ever before. The OS seems to come in the form of an attachment for your iPad that supports USB drives and SD cards.

And, although not officially announced, early beta tests indicate that iPadOS will also support mouse pointers.
Having recently purchased an 11-inch iPad Pro, I'm still kind of stuck in the middle of my iPad and my Microsoft Surface Pro (I think its 13 inches), and I've been wishing that my iPad could function more like a desktop because its size makes it easier to lug around.
Right now, my iPad is mostly a play-thing that allows me to read comics and browse the web, while all of my school work, work-work, and site development have to be done on my Surface, so I can't wait for the debut of the new iPadOS.
