Marvel's Avengers have officially assembled for the world to see.

Following an announcement trailer in early 2017, Square Enix finally showed a story trailer and details about their upcoming Avengers game at E3 in June 2019, but the gameplay was only shown behind closed doors to journalists.

The same footage was shown privately at San Diego Comic Con in July 2019 and while it was not officially released, it did leak online via a phone cam-rip.

I usually don't watch leaked footage for movies or games -- I don't even like listening to leaked tracks from my favorite artists -- but being a huge comic nerd and MCU fan, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to watch.

But now, we can all finally bask in the 4K glory of the officially released gameplay demo that was released on Aug. 20 at Gamescom 2019. The Demo is about 20 minutes long and shows gameplay from all of our favorite Avengers!

The game not only looks amazing but it seems super fun, too. Which is what I expected, given the team of studios working on the project, but, surprisingly, a lot of people have been hating on the game since gameplay wasn't released at E3.

I think that's such a small thing to condemn a game for. I just assumed it was because they didn't want to give us everything all at once and I think it makes sense, seeing as the game appeared at three of the biggest cons and expos of the year.

The game will feature single player objects that players will go through as a single hero, while there will be another game type designed for 4 player co-op.

It has also been mentioned that there will be a ton -- literally, a ton -- of cosmetics available for every hero. Some of them can be earned in-game and others can be purchased.

The game is scheduled to be released May 15, 2020, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and PC. The PS4 will also be getting exclusive content which has yet to be announced, as well as early beta for the game.
